What are the Essence of Angels?

The ‘Essence of Angels' are a set of 12 Vibrational remedies that assist us in resonating with the qualities of each Archangel to bring much love, understanding and guidance into our lives.  The Essences are a combination of Angelic and Master Crystal vibrations, synergistically blended with sound, colour and sacred geometric vibrations.

The Essence of Angels are setting the standard of a new paradigm in healing.  The Angelic essences work with the energy systems of the body including meridians, chakras and the subtle bodies or planes as well as on the physical cellular and DNA levels.

What makes these Essences unique is their ability to harness high vibrational frequencies for healing. Hundreds of case studies have been collected supporting the efficacy of the Essences.  That is, their ability to support major shifts from both a physical, emotional and spiritual perspective.

When combining the Essence's with other modalities (ie. Sandplay, Expressive Therapy), the synergy of energies accelerates physical and emotional well-being.  As the Essences stimulate consciousness and awaken people to their full soul potential, clients are consciously able to create health and happiness in their lives.

If you would like to incorporate the Essences into your counselling sessions please click here or have a chat to Monique.

Tips on Promoting a Secure Attachment

What is Attunement?

Attunement is being present with another person. It is non-judgmental focusing on the inner world of another person (child) to such a degree that each of you feel "felt" by the other. From that unified state, each person feels vibrant, alive, understood and at peace.

Social attachments sustain the emotional systems in the brain that promote life-long mental and physical health.

"Attunement creates the most stable, most flexible, and most adaptive state known for healing and learning.

To attune with others we must first learn to attune with ourselves."

-Daniel Siegel, MD 2007

Your feelings are your inner guidance system.  Attunement is the sense that we are known from the inside out, and is the scaffold for taking responsibility for our actions.

Attunement is focussing our attention on our child's inner world (rather than their behaviour) and sounds like:

You look ____.
You wanted____.
You seem ____.
You were hoping ____.
You sound  ____.

Exciting New Program for Parents & Professionals

The Kaleidoscopes Program is a unique & innovative program that allows young people, their families, carers, teachers and counsellors to explore together our diverse and complex needs in a contemporary context.  In its simplicity, its playfulness and in the creative way it is presented, it is a way of developing and maintaining hope in all of us, as it opens our awareness to our human spirit, our human-nature connection and our connection to the sustainability of the earth.

It offers the opportunity for all ages to create and communicate with each other through the senses, to express feelings and our intuitive awareness. It creates the space to share and acknowledge this wisdom, to see and feel the strength within us and the strength of the natural world around us. It is a tool to access our deep inner knowing, rather than seek outside ourselves for fulfillment.  To offer this at a young age may prevent the destructive path of addiction, whether this is to a substance or an emotion.
The program comes from the indigenous perspective in a cross-cultural, universal way.  It taps into the wisdom of the land and its people in a manner that is uniting and healing to all people, helping children of all cultures remember their innate wisdom.

Inside Out Update

There has been a lot of activity at Inside Out over winter.  We have been very lucky to add the services of Sarah Whitington, a Diploma of Community Welfare prac student on placement from Nambour Tafe, over the past few months.  Sarah has become an integral part of the daily ins and outs of running a busy counselling and training practice and will be missed very much when she graduates and returns to the UK in the near future.

The Certificate in Expressive Therapies Training for child professionals began at our centre here on the Sunshine Coast in July.  We have a wonderful group of enthusiastic and motivated professionals who have now completed four of the five workshops.  The Certificate will run again in Brisbane in March, 2009.

I have been busy facilitating and presenting at a range of events over the past few months including a supervision workshop to the Caboolture Domestic Violence Service workers in June, two presentations for Guidance Officers in Education Queensland in July, a talk about Parenting Styles to interested families and carers at Maroochydore Family Day Care in September and most recently provided interested caring professionals with information about Expressive Therapies at a Counselling Methods Showcase held in Brisbane.

Over the last few months I have been very excited to be able to attend and complete the "Essence of Angels" Practitioner Course as well as a "Children & Australian Bush Flower Essences" Practitioner Certificate.  I am looking forward to incorporating these modalities to support the emotional health and well-being of my clients.  Click here for more information.

Last but not least, I was very lucky to have been awarded a "Final ist Certificate" in the Sunshine Coast Business Women's Network "Business Woman of the Year Awards", held at Novotel, Twin Waters Resort in August.  This was a very prestigious event and it was a great privilege and honour, not to mention a surprise, to be nominated and then to unbelieveably be awarded Finalist in the small business category.  The experience was a wonderful opportunity to learn a bit more about the other amazing women in business around our great region.  Huge thanks to Yvette Adams from The Creative Collective for the nomination!

Whilst the past few months have been a rollercoaster ride, Spring is also looking very active.  Keep reading to find out about what's new and up and coming over the next few months.

Warm regards,

Monique Rutherford

Parenting Workshop - Don't miss out!

Where:  Buderim, Sunshine Coast, Qld

When:  21st - 23rd November, 2008

Investment:  $350 per person or $600 per couple

We all want to be the best parent we can be.  Can you imagine what it would be like to be ‘in-sync' with your child?  How about the idea of raising children who WANT to cooperate with your requests? Do you struggle with your particular family dynamic?  Do you get tired of the impact of other's on your ideal family situation?  Do you ‘react' to your children more than you'd like to?  Does the sound of some ‘time-in' for yourself sound like a delicious but distant dream?

Well, this November I will be running a wonderful three day workshop for a motivated and interested group of parents who want an authentic and deeply connected relationship with their child/ren and themselves.  The workshop is both educational and experiential – it is a unique journey into your own wisdom, offers parents some time to connect within and with a small and supportive peer group and is an opportunity to discover unowned parts of yourself that can support you in your parenting journey.  If the sound of this appeals to you, click here for more details you can download.  If you have any queries, please feel free to contact Monique.

Spring... A time for creativity

Acknowledging seasonal changes is one way for humans to experience the rhythm of life.  As our children witness the unfolding of each season, they grow a little and appreciate the wonders of nature.  To know each season through walks, observation, activities and games helps our children to develop a more intense relationship with planet Earth.  Immersing children in the rhythm of the seasons assists their unfolding as spiritual beings in a physical world. Recognising rhythms – night and day, the seasons, lunar cycles, festivals and traditions – are so imporant for the developing child.

Spring is a time when the creative force within each of us stirs into greater outward expression.  This is reflected in nature.  New seeds begin to sprout.  Sap runs and flows, stimulating new growth.  Flowers and leaves begin to bud.  These rhythms are excellent for initiating new endeavours and manifesting opporutnities within our life.

Spring is the perfect season to take a nature walk with your child.  To witness the wonders of life emerging from the sleepiness of winter is magical for children and adults alike.  Look for birds nesting, flowers in bloom and rainbows.  You could create a nature journal for sketches, photos, descriptions, pressed leaves, texture rubbings and other records of your walks. Family rituals are reassuring to children. The wisdom of nature makes perfect sense to our children's instincts.
